Sandilands suspended

Kyle Sandilands has been suspended by Sydney radio station 2Day-FM for comments he made on air trivialising the Holocaust.

Further to our previous story, Adam Lang, General Manager of 2Day FM issued the following statement this morning…

“2Day FM has suspended Kyle Sandilands following comments he made during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday 8 September, 2009. The suspension will be in effect pending further discussions involving Kyle Sandilands and station management.

2Day FM believes the comments made by Kyle were unacceptable and sincerely apologises and regrets any offence they caused.”

A spokesperson for the Station told J-Wire that they will hold a meeting with Sandilands to discuss his future and will consider at the meeting  J-Wire’s offer to invite him to tour the Holocaust section at the Sydney Jewish Museum.
