Spokesperson for The Protection of Zion, pastor Nigel Woodley and the Flaxmere Christian Fellowship in Hastings, New Zealand said he does not support the resolution sponsored by the Palestinians, which denies the ancient and historical connection of the Jewish People to the Holy sites in Jerusalem – particularly the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

The Protection of Zion organization says the resolution is a blatant disregard to the fact that the Jewish Holy sites were in existences long before the birth of Islam, and it overlooks the rights of the People of Israel to preserve and guard their own holy sites.

Pastor Woodley says in its resolution by referring to the holy sites only by their Muslim names UNESCO have totally disregarded the Jewish connection which has long outlived any other religion.
