Current parent and Old Collegian, Amy Hershan has succeeded Lisa Kennett as the new president of Melbourne’s  Mount Scopus College.

Amy graduated from Mount Scopus in 1994 and is part of a second generation Scopus family, with both her parents having also attended Scopus. She, and husband, Dion, have three children in the school. Over the years Amy has demonstrated her leadership skills on the Parents’ Association, the College Council and more recently as a member of the College Executive.

On announcing her appointment, retiring President, Lisa Kennett stated of Amy that, “she will lead the College with strength and wisdom and with a keen understanding of the ethos of the College and all that it stands for”.

In thanking immediate past President, Lisa Kennett, at Scopus Chagiga (Presentation Night), Principal, Rabbi James Kennard said, “Lisa has led the College through a very successful period with vision and passion. The significant developments in our facilities and the growth in enrolments during this time are amongst the testaments to her leadership”.

Amy Hershan will take over officially at the start of Term 4.
