New NSW program for up and coming politicians
The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies has announced its new Berger Fellowship program designed to strengthen ties between the Jewish community and future political leaders.
The 2015 program is for up-and-coming Labor Party members and has the support of the
Trent Murray
General Secretary of the NSW ALP.
The program has been developed to enable participants to:
- act as a vehicle for the Jewish community and Labor Party
- attend major Jewish community events
- provide advice on events of mutual interest
The program culminates in a week-long study tour of Israel.

Participants for the 2015 program are Darren Rodrigo, Senior Advisor – Office of Bill Shorten, Dave Latham, State Organiser, NSW Labor, Edward McDougall, Senior Advisor Office of Steve Kamper [MP for Rockdale] and Trent Murray, Co-Convenor Australian Rainbow Labor.

The trip to Israel is scheduled towards the end of this year.
NSWJBD Vic Alhadeff told J-Wire: “Participants are selected on the basis that they are up and coming members of their respective political parties. There are plans in place to accommodate other parties but they are contingent on funding.”

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies president Jeremy Spinak added: “This is an innovative program which will help forge connections between the Board of Deputies and future leaders of the political parties. We applaud the participants for getting involved and extend the community’s appreciation to the Berger family for its exceptional generosity and vision.”

Did I read that right? The JBofD is paying for their holiday??? Wow I’m joining the Labor Party. (NoI aint.) Are you also going to pay for all the other Political parties too? How about giving Tony Abbott and family a trip too! At least these people are on our side. With so many things in this world that need help (financially) you are giving a free ride to corrupt pollies.
