The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC) has named Paul Rubenstein as its new NSW Chairman.

Paul Rubenstein

The managing partner of the Sydney office at high-profile law firm Arnold Bloch Leibler, Mr Rubenstein has been an AIJAC Director since 2005 assisting AIJAC’s information and advocacy role on issues related to Australia, the Jewish community and Israel.

“I am pleased and honoured to take on the role of AIJAC’s NSW Chairman and am looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Mr Rubenstein said.

“At the present time multicultural harmony in Australia is being tested while Israel finds itself in an ever-changing, turbulent region. I believe AIJAC plays an important role, which indeed it will even need to enhance in the future, in informing public debate and promoting our community’s interests on these issues both in Australia and in the broader Asia-Pacific region.”

While welcoming Mr Rubenstein, AIJAC also thanks retiring NSW Chairman Paul Keen for his dedicated service in the role and welcomes his continuation as a director of AIJAC.
