Politics is politics and there’s not much in the way of sincerity wafting about.

I hope one of Mr Abbott’s first acts will be to choose as Foreign Minister, a sincere representative of the tradionally real friendship Australia has had with Israel. Who needs enemies when you have friends like Bob Carr.
Australia has traditionally been a real friend of Israel, in that we have never supported illegitimate claims from the Palestinians, nor winked away the relentless campaign of terror against the rightful inhabitants of the land by a group whose only export seems to be hatred and death. The land rightfully belongs to Israel and not only by mandate of the United Nations but more importantly by the covenant of YHWH to Father Avraham and his descendants for ever. And unlike the UN, YHWH keeps his word.
    Shalom Israel.
