Jointly funded by members the of the Melbourne-based Danos and Deutsch families, this new building will service over 14,000 students currently enrolled at Ariel University situated in Samaria in the West Bank.

Donated by the Danos Family of Melbourne, Australia this new lobby will honour Abraham’s memory, a survivor of the Shoah who fell defending Israel during the War of Independence.

In attendance today were members of the family from Australia and Israel, Prof. Moshe Arens (Chairman of the International Board of Governors), Prof. Yehuda Danon (President of Ariel University) and many honoured guests (including family members linked in by video from Australia.)

A spokesperson for the university said: “We thank the Danos and Deutsch families for their continued support.”

Ariel University is proud to be Israel’s newest research university. With 15,000 students, its unprecedented growth since its inception as the College of Judea and Samaria in 1987 makes it Israel’s fastest growing university.
