The largest and most anticipated day of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship is the ‘Main Event’, part of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). Ari Engel was then presented with the widely-cherished and universally-revered custom made diamond-encrusted rose gold bracelet by LK Jewellery valued at AUD$40,000, representing the game’s ultimate achievement, a trophy and all the glory for his efforts at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.

The triumph was both a mental and physical marathon, after Ari Engel overcame a field of 732 entrants from all over the globe, who participated in Crown’s Aussie Millions ‘Main Event’.

The Aussie Millions ‘Main Event’, with a buy-in of AUD$10,600, began on Sunday 24 January, and took eight days to complete, with the final duel being played in front of a packed house and a worldwide audience following the action over the internet via the Live Stream broadcast exclusively for Crown by the world’s most successful poker streamer Jason Somerville via Twitch.tv.

32-yr-old Ari Engel  is a former pupil of the Yavneh College in Melbourne which he attended for eight years before moving to the USA. J-Wire understands  he moved to Toronto, Canada where it is legal to play poker on line.
