J-Junction’s Sydney matchmakers have celebrated a record year.

Since its inception in 2006, the introductory service connecting Jewish singles has grown from strength to strength.

Achievements include seven engagements, three weddings and there are currently two babies on their way.

Founder Rabbi mendel Kastel said: “It is very gratifying to see how the organisation has grown and how it is making a difference to Jewish continuity.”

150 of the 1200 who are registered with J-Junction are offered a match each month. Figures show 40% result in an initial meeting and 30% go on to subsequent dates.

Lindsay Pieterkosky met Jeremy Cole through J-Junction. She said: “I’d gone on a few dates before I met Jeremy. We hit it off so well on the first date, we knew where we wanted to see where this relationship would end. When he proposed to me, it was an absolute joy.”

Thirty volunteer matchmakers in Sydney and Melbourne offer members a personal, discreet service and spend hours conducting private interviews in order to find suitable matches for members.
