Mark Leibler, the national chairman of The Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council, met U.S. President Barack Obama during the President’s recent visit to Australia.

Mark Leibler

Leibler said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to talk to a relaxed, friendly and engaged President Obama at the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Julia Gillard at Parliament House in Canberra.  It was a privilege to meet him, particularly in my capacity as the National Chairman of AIJAC, which I explained to him was the Australian counterpart of the American Jewish Committee.  I thanked him for his personal interest in Israel and conveyed our community’s appreciation for the United States’ ongoing advocacy for Israel at the United Nations.  President Obama said that, for him, continuing to support Israel at the United Nations was an important priority and he also spoke warmly and appreciatively of Prime Minister Gillard’s assistance in this regard.”

The Jews are not leaving President Obama in droves as some report. Most Jews in the USA are members of the Democratic Left who enjoy the fruits of capitalism while living and acting like socialists. The Jews are the best example of a people who are fooled into thinking they are socially progressive, while they are being demonized for being totally oppressive. 78% of eligible Jewish voters in the USA voted for Barack Hussein Obama without knowing really a thing about the man. What does that tell you about Jewish voters, and their intelligence towards a party that is totally anti semitic?

Thanks goodness we have the likes of AIJAC in Australia fighting for Israel’s case in Australia.

“A river called denial” – no, you’re not right. Both the AJC and AIPAC are private lobby groups that do not represent the American Jewish community. AIJAC is, in this respect, similar to both groups in that it is an unelected, unrepresentative body that represents no one but the wealthy members of the Jewish community who fund it. (Though AIJAC does have formal ties with the AJC.)

The ECAJ is the representative body of the aussie Jewish community, made up of the representative bodies in each state (NSW Jewish Board of Deps, JCCV, etc) which are elected by general franchise and the Jewish organisations that are represented on each. One hopes that the ECAJ president was also present at the meeting with Obama.

Likewise, the ZFA represents the Jewish community when it comes to Israel issues.

AIJAC has a lot to answer for, misrepresenting itself as a spokesbody for all Aussie Jews.

AIJAC is the equivalent of the AJC? nu uh. more like the equivalent of AIPAC.
ECAJ is the equivalent of AJC methinks.
who’s gunna tell Obama he’s been duped
