Clients include former students who allege that they were sexually abused by David Cyprys who has been convicted by the criminal courts. Clients also include persons who allege sexual abuse perpetrated by David Kramer.

Kramer was convicted of child sexual abuse and jailed.  On his release he was deported to the United States.

The negligence claims for compensation for psychological injury arising from sexual abuse on behalf of former Yeshiva College students –part of Yeshivah Centre Melbourne – have been issued with the Supreme Court.

A number of other clients have instructed Waller Legal to explore alternative dispute resolution processes.

in addition to the above, there are a number of private Jewish mediation services which might be utilised for the purpose of resolving this dispute quickly and appropriately

having run a number of similar claims against the catholic church on similar grounds, it will be interesting to see whether Yeshiva chooses the path of conciliation and resolution rather than being adversarial.

putting these victims through the torture of aggressive and delayed litigation not only adds to their suffering but would also leave the yeshiva in a poorer light than it already enjoys at the moment

a positive and active pursuit of a speedy and fair resolution would certainly demonstrate a change of attitude of the institution and would greatly assist in its redemption in the eyes of many. as well as showing compassion for these poor victims who have already suffered

we do not want any Jewish institution to be comparable to the church
