Rabbi Elimelech Levy told J-Wire: “The activities will start on the beach with local MP Malcolm Turnbull officially opening the March. We are running this event in conjunction with all leading Sydney Jewish organisations.

We hope to beat last year’s crowd of over 1,100 as marchers follow the Navy marching band along the route which will take roughy 20 minutes to travel to Barracluff Park.”

The march will be headed by the Royal Australian Navy marching band.

There families will celebrate Lag B’Omer with carnival rides, dodgem cars and performers and entertainers.

Rabbi Levy added: “We hope that the whole community engages in the walk . Proceedings will get underway at the beach at 11.a.m. on the 18th of May.”
