A trip to Sydney’s Our Big Kitchen taught a group of disadvantaged youths without a family home that as tough as they think it is, life is not so bad.
Preparing the takeaway
Housed and counselled by the Rev Ted Knoff’s Foundation, the group helped prepare food learning how to maximise its nutritional value before enjoying the fruits of their labour.
They experienced the power of harmony and love amongst the pots and pans of Bondi’s Our Big Kitchen.
But the full meaning of their efforts was driven home to them when the surplus food they had prepared was delivered to children suffering from cancer.
Having no family home of their own, each and every one of them was confronted by the value of good health over material possessions.
