Primary School Teacher

The Primary School Teacher will provide a positive learning environment that values and engages students, empowering them to attain high levels of achievement, to continually improve their learning and to be ready for the world. The teacher will work closely with the School Principal in leaving their imprint on shaping the school’s standards and course for years to come.

About You

As a Primary School Teacher, you will possess:

·         a Bachelor of Education or equivalent and ACT TQI registration (or ability to obtain before commencement)

·         experience in working in a Primary School educational setting and preferably with early Primary years teaching experience.

·         demonstrated knowledge of and skills in differentiation as the school is starting small with composite age classes

·         demonstrated knowledge of the Australian National Curriculum

·         sound ability to display initiative and good judgment

·         excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Faith and cultural awareness. Jewish Faith not mandatory.

·         a current first aid certificate with anaphylaxis and asthma training or willingness to obtain

·       An ability to produce and maintain necessary Government reporting records on behalf of the school.

·         A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.

·        At least two sound references.

·        Must have teacher registration, provisional registration or a permit to teach issued by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute prior to starting employment.
