Jewish Care Victoria has hosted its 33rd Annual Friends of Montefiore Brunch.

The event, Sponsored by the Pratt Foundation, the annual event raised approximately $100,000 which will go towards Jewish Care’s aged care and disability services.

Guest speaker at the brunch held at the Leonda by the Yarra was Tom Elliott, host of 3AW’s Drive Program, Director of wealth management firm Beulah Capital and hedge fund MM&E Capital; and Herald Sun columnist. He expressed his opinion about various Australian current affairs, including his positive views about Israel, and the crowd appreciated his support of the local Jewish community.

“The Melbourne Jewish community has much to be proud of – an organisation like Jewish Care, with its range of services, is unique amongst Jewish communities worldwide,” Jewish Care General Manager – Community, Mark Joel said.

Mr Joel urged the audience to reflect on Jewish Care’s vital role it plays in providing aged care services to the Jewish community.

He also thanked the Friends of Montefiore committee, headed by Delysia Pahoff, for supporting such an important cause and for their tireless efforts over the last 33 years.

“Our goal, as Friends of Montefiore and Jewish Care, is to add some comfort to the lives of those in need in our community. It is our job, and our pleasure, to help these people in need,” said Mrs Pahoff.
