Jew-Hating Imam not to be a speaker

A headline in today’s “The Australian” proclaiming that a “Jew-hating” Imam was to be a speaker at Australian Islamic Peace Conference is unlikely to carry any truth as the man in question has not applied for a visa.

flyerThe web site flyer for the conference still has Abdul Rahman al-Sudais headlining the conference which will tun from March 15 to March 17 at the Showgrounds.

Iman Riad Galil, president of the Jewish Christian Muslim Association of Australia told J-Wire: “In the Middle East much of what is said is for local consumption. There are two standards in play…two ways of saying the same thing. Had he come here,  I am sure he would have a different dialogue although I doubt if he would speak in English. I do not know him and have only heard his utterances.”

The Australian reported that the 53-yr-old cleric had described Jews as “the scum of humanity”. On the flyer he is depicted in profile with his face covered and names as “Imam of Makkah”. He has been refused entry into the U.S. and Canada according to the broadsheet.

A spokesperson for Immigration Minister Brendan O’Connor said: “We have checked our records and no visa application has been made for the person in question.”

The flyer does state that some speakers’ attendance may by subject to visa approval.

Dr Danny Lamm and Peter Wertheim, the President and the Executive Director of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, responded to the news reports.

“We were surprised by Rachel Baxendale’s story in The Australian asserting that we had called for Abdul Rahman al-Sudais to be denied entry to Australia to attend an Islamic conference in Melbourne. We have not previously issued any statement about al-Sudais or the conference.”

“Whilst it is true that al-Sudais and several other advertised speakers from overseas have an appalling record of spreading bigotry and hatred against Jews, Sikhs and gays, and have been barred entry to Canada and the UK, we understand that alSudais at least is not in fact coming to Australia. It appears that a number of false claims have been made about who will be attending the conference.”

“Our approach all along has been to wait and see which speakers actually turn up and to assess what they say before we comment. We share the concerns expressed in the statement issued by the Jewish Christian Muslim Association of Australia opposing the introduction of hatreds from overseas into Australia. We agree that such hatreds have no place in our country, or indeed anywhere.”

Federal MP Michael Danby added: “Bigotry spewed out by Saudi extremist preacher Dr al-Sudais was un-Australian.”
When condemning the Anti-Jewish prejudice ascribed to the Saudi Islamist Michael Danby released a letter from the Immigration Minister the Hon. Brendan O’Connor to the Shadow Minister for  Immigration.

Danby revealed: Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais has not lodged a visa  application for Australia!

He said: “Given the fact that character are criteria under Australia migration law the Saudi was unlikely to be  granted such a visa. Dr al-Sudais’ incitement against a respected minority in Australia means he is an
unsuitable person to enter our pluralist democracy where all Australian’s are considered equal.”

Danby said it was instructive that al-Sudais had been barred from obtaining visas in Canada and the United States (see: http://www.antisemitism.org.il/article/52808/canada-–-saudi-imam-bannedentering-country and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Rahman_Al-Sudais).“ I doubt whether he will even apply to enter Australia despite the publicity given to him by the  conference and the Australian newspaper.” Mr Danby said.

In ‘The Age’ Friday 15/03 there was an article about a ‘Mysterious Islamic star speaker’ who had pulled out of the Islamic Peace Conference (IPC) occurring this weekend in Melbourne. There had been a lot of concerns about whether Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, a prominent Saudi imam who has referred to Jews as ‘the scum of the human race, rats of the world, violators of pacts and agreements, murderers of the prophets, and grandsons of apes and pigs’ was going to be in attendance.
His replacement is Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alaffasy who apparently was suffering jet lag yesterday after the Islamists had flown him in from Kuwait as a last minute substitute for Sudais, who according to The Australian today could not come for personal reasons. See
    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/sheik-a-no-show-at-islamic-event-for-personal-reasons/story-e6frg6nf-1226598628474
Alaffasy also has ‘excellent’ anti-semitic credentials (a pre-requisite for the job?), having expressed views in contempt of Jews in a video titled ‘Dua for the People of Gaza’. The video can be viewed on the website http://www.anti-semitism.net, which is dedicated to exposing and fighting against global anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish racism. In part it declares, “O Allah, to you the Jews (those who are inhuman) are evil ….. Crush them down and shatter them….. Murderers of the messengers and prophets”.
The duplicity of Waseem Razvi, the organiser of the IPC, has been extraordinary and the Islamic Council of Victoria must be condemned for its condoning of an event that is very suspect in its intentions. Nobody amongst our Jewish leadership however has the guts to speak out about all this muck.

      Thank you David

Somehow, we need to form a new group within the Community that will stand up and say it as it is. The voices are growing louder daily and we get the most pathetic statements released. This below, the latest from the ECAJ, they didn’t have the guts to publish here due to the bagging they received for the last one.

      MEDIA RELEASE

      12 March 2013

      ‘Islamic Peace Conference’

Dr Danny Lamm and Peter Wertheim, the President and the Executive Director of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, responded to news reports that an anti-Jewish Imam from Saudi Arabia, Abdul Rahman al-Sudais, is due to speak at an Islamic Conference in Melbourne.

“We were surprised by Rachel Baxendale’s story in The Australian asserting that we had called for Abdul Rahman al-Sudais to be denied entry to Australia to attend an Islamic conference in Melbourne. We have not previously issued any statement about al-Sudais or the conference.”

I doubt anyone can get more pathetic than that.

      This is especially telling

“Our approach all along has been to wait and see “

    This speaks heaps

    http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/christians_not_safe_at_muslim_conference/

A Christian writes about the Islamic “peace” conference in Melbourne that invited a bunch of hate-preachers:

Some Christians who had approval to hire a stall giving away Bibles at the Islamic ‘Peace Conference’ at the Melbourne Showgrounds this weekend have had this approval withdrawn. The Christians, from various churches around Melbourne, had been offered a 6 x 3 metre stall for $600. The Islamic Research and Educational Academy (IREA) contacted them last night and said that the Bible stall could not go ahead because it would be “unsafe”.

The Christians were told that, due to expected anti-Islamic protests outside the Showgrounds, IREA “could not guarantee your safety.” An IREA spokesman, who identified himself as ‘Sami’, was concerned about radical elements among the Muslim attendees “taking it out” on the Christians, and said that IREA security personnel “could not protect the Christians”. IREA claimed they had consulted Victoria Police about security and had come to this decision. Another Christian group was told last night that all the stalls had been allocated and there was no room left. According to the IREA website, there are over 200 stalls available, but their stall map shows that only 44 stalls have been hired so far.

  3. Gil Solomon says:

I find it appalling that one of the principle issues that the ECAJ concerns itself with in respect to Abdul Rahman al-Sudais is whether or not this Imam has or has not applied for a Visa, is or is not coming to Australia. Heaven forbid the ECAJ comes out and denounces him (and others like him) for his previous comments calling for violent Jihad, that Jews are the scum of humanity, pigs and monkeys who should be annihilated.

No, the ECAJ comes out with that legalistic bland comment that this man and other advertised speakers “have an appalling record of spreading bigotry and hatred against Jews, Sikhs and gays”.

    Sikhs and gays!
Does the ECAJ seriously think that by adding these two groups that they will somehow be our allies? These groups don’t need our help as they will, if need be, fight their own battles. It seems however that the ECAJ is no longer capable of responding on behalf of the Jewish people who they are supposed to represent and who are the principal targets of this Islamic hatred.

I cannot help but notice that when the Assistant Secretary of the Federation of Islamic Councils treats us like fools when saying that the Imam’s comments were made in anger (implying he did not mean what he said), not one supposed leader of the Australian Jewish community took him to task. This man is probably always angry when he even thinks about Jews. However, when are we ever going to wake up and realise that when it comes to Jews, he believes passionately in every word he utters. He wants us dead. When are we ever going to wake up out of our coma?

Worse still is the ECAJ comment “Our approach all along has been to wait and see which speakers actually turn up and to assess what they say before we comment”. So what the ECAJ is saying is that they will not comment and thereby repeat for all to hear the past inflammatory comments against Jews made by any one of the advertised speakers. This way of thinking will ensure the Australian public remain unaware of the true hatred felt by these Islamic educators towards Jews.

No, our current leadership will wait to see if anyone repeats the racist anti semitic diatribe previously made before making an “assessment” if they are “appalled” sufficiently enough to comment.

Finally, it is obvious to those with their eyes open that while there may be moderate Muslim individuals, the religion of Islam will never moderate its views towards Jews.

    • Shirlee says:

I am not at all surprised by the on-action of the spineless ECAJ

They say “To represent and speak officially on behalf of Australian Jewry”

I would suggest they actually ask what people want, not go about in their dhimmified way.

It’s disgraceful that they came out with a half baked statement against Wilders ad not a word about these Jew-haters who are coming here.

I wish I was in Melbourne, I would been part of the protest rally for sure.

It would also help if they had some manners. I am waiting for a reply from Danny Lamm to an email I wrote some weeks back.

  4. Daniel says:

Where was Danby when Girt Wilders came to Australia and where was his Jewish condemnation. All of a sudden we have a character test well, if Gert Wilders passed that criteria then This sheik or whatever he is will definetly pass that test with flying colours, ahhh the sheer astounding hypocrisy of the Jewish Community, its ok to promote hatred against the Muslim minortity under the banner of freedom of speech but the moment we are attacked or Zionism and Jewishness is attacked its all “Anti-semitism”, bo ho ho, you reap what you sow.

  5. Paul Winter says:

That AIPC invited al-Sudais, knowing that he has expressed hatred of Jews, identifies that group as un-Australian.

That the head of Jewish Chriatian Muslim Assocaition openly states that there are two standards for statements, one for local consumption and one for everyone else, (dumb dhimmis_ proves that nothing that such people say can be taken for the truth.

That there is any Jew associated with such a group means at the very least that that component of the group piously rejects thinking about the aims, members and methods of the group.

  6. Daniel says:

The hullabulloo about that anti islam Dutch politician was deafening yet this piece of trash called Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, who has reportedly called for Jews to be “terminated” and labelled Jews “monkeys”, “pigs” and “the scum of the earth”, is scheduled to appear at the Australian Islamic Peace Conference (AIPC) in March.
“They are killers of prophets and the scum of the earth,” Al-Sudais is reported to have said on Saudi television in 2002. “These are the Jews, a continuous lineage of meanness, cunning, obstinacy, tyranny, evil, and corruption. They sew corruption on earth.”

And the story wasd quickly removed from online publications. Why????

Bring back the Dutch guy !!!!!!
