Senior representatives of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Prime Minister’s Office met in Jerusalem last week for a strategic consultation with more than 100 top professionals and Jewish leaders from around the world.  The consultation, which took part between between December 19 and 21, resulted in the establishment of several collaborative networks to develop and share best practice resources, knowledge and materials to strengthen the position of Israel as the nation-State of the Jewish people, and to defeat attempts to deny its sovereign rights.  The Australian Jewish leaders at the consultation were World Jewish Congress Vice President, Robert Goot, Executive Director of the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council, Dr Colin Rubenstein, and Executive Director of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Peter Wertheim.
