Nitsana Darshan-Leitner

Darshan-Leitner is an Israeli attorney is a human rights activist and the founder of Shurat HaDin  Israel Law Centre renowned for the civil actions her law firm has brought against numerous banks and institutions who have aided and abetted Islamic terrorism.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner spoke to a packed room at Chabad CBD. She retold some of the  blood-curdling terror incidents recently and of the Lod Airport massacre in May 1972 when 26 people who were killed including 17 Christian pilgrims.

With her team of Israeli lawyers, her organisation  sued North Korea over their frozen bank accounts in US from 1972. They enforced judgements against the bank accounts and hired a lobbyist to change the Law in US.

She spoke pf the Turkish Flotilla of 2010 and the photos instantly available worldwide which attempted to show the Israelis as the perpetrators of violence.

A Greek armada was arranged to show support of the Palestinian Authority recently. The Israel Law Centre  managed to contact all the major insurance companies informing them of the purpose of the voyage and the biggest companies pulled out.

In September 2012 the Palestinian Authority was upgraded to Observer Status in UN. Soon after Israel was indicted for War Crimes.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner spoke of social media being the major source of terror recruitment. The ironic fact is that when  Israel  Law Cantre asked Facebook to remove the posts they refused despite the fact they  were calculated to incite anti Semitism…and that the company is by Mark Zukerburg.

She said there is no protection for Freedom of Speech on social media allowing anyone to say or to incite anything they want without safeguards with no relationship between users and the company.  The Israel Law Centre created two identical posts. One against Israel and the other against the Palestinians. They asked Facebook to take down the posts as they were offensive and incitement to hatred and more . Facebook took down the Palestinian post and left the Israeli one.

ISIS is a relatively new phenomenon that was practically created by Facebook according to Darshan-Leitner.

She said after many recent attacks by the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian Security Shurat HaDin decided to sue the Palestinian Authorities”.

The attack on bus 19 in Jerusalem was a long drawn out case. Seven years for research and a further four years to await a Court decision. $655 million awarded to the plaintiff. She said: “They appealed and it was reduced to $10m It is now going to the Supreme Court.”

This event was held at Chabad of Melbourne CBD and chaired by its Shliach Rabbi Chaim Herzog.
