Inspiring speaker at JewishCare
More than forty people have attended a talk by Richard Bernstein, who is totally blind, at JewishCare.

Bernstein is a lawyer in Detroit who devotes his time to fighting for people who are disadvantaged and for causes that impact on disadvantage people.
He has run in numerous marathons and despite sustaining serious injuries in an accident he continues to participate.
He told many stories that encapsulate his positive attitude to life. He believes people should not be limited by their apparent shortcomings. He said ‘ it is always the ones who are seen a vulnerable , it is always the ones who are seen as weak who are the strongest , the most powerful , the most resilient, that have the strongest sense of spirit”
