Historian to speak on Maitland Jewish Cemetery

Dr Janis Wilton, a historian at the Univewrsity of New England, will lecture on Maitland’s Jewish history on September 25.The lecture entitles ‘A Night at the Museum’ will focus on the lives of the 44 Jews buried in the town’s Jewish cemetery, one of only three in New South Wales country.
The lecture will be held at Brough House, Church St Maitland and is under the auspices of the Friends of Grossman House.
