Comedian Michael Shafar on his Jewish-ishness…trying to express the funny side of the expectations and high benchmark set by family and the community to achieve and be successful. he will be the headliner at the Melbourne Jewish Comedy Festival, at the Fringe Festival, has been hosting a TV show on C31 called “The Leak” and is planning a comedy tour of Asia soon.

 

Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier in the Shtick Studio, telling Henry about their sold-out forthcoming national tour to celebrate 25 years since the release of “String of Pearls” and the launch of their latest CD, entitled “Everybody’s Begging”. As well, they will be featured artists at the Shir Madness Jewish Music Festival in Sydney at the Bondi Beach Pavilion on Sept. 18 . The segment opens and ends with excerpts from “Song of Songs”, from Shir Madness 2015 in Melbourne.
