Hakoah members are to receive a 12 month extension of their memberships at no charge as consultations get underway with members and community groups  about the the redevelopment of the White City site.

Phil Filler

Hakoah Club President, Mr Phil Filler, said the Board has created a development sub-committee whose members have extensive development experience and expertise to oversee the project.

“The vision for the club is for a state-of-the-art sporting and social centre for the community which may include a swimming complex, multi-purpose gymnasium, function rooms, bars, lounge and more,” Mr Filler said.

“The development and the creation of the new facilities will require comprehensive planning and consultation with members and community groups.

“To this end, the Board has engaged leading project management firm Savills and highly experienced communications consultancy KJA to progress the work.

“Consultation with members and other community groups will start soon to ensure we end up with a club that meets the needs of our current and future members.

“In the meantime, all memberships will be extended by 12 months at no charge. If your membership was due to expire on 31 October 2010, it will now remain current until 31 October 2011.  If it was due to expire on 31 October 2011, it will be extended until 31 October 2012.

“Hakoah is very keen to involve members in the development of the club and will be sending an increasing amount of information and updates via email. Hakoah encourages all members and would-be members to register your email address by sending an email to myclub@hakoah.com.au requesting inclusion on our database.”
