After three years in the role, and three highly successful fundraising campaigns, Daniel Grynberg has decided to step down as JCA CEO at the end of this year.

NSW’s JCA has been on a journey of change for a number of years with a range of new and exciting initiatives emerging across the areas of Next Generation engagement, Intergenerational wealth transfer, Innovation, Project Giving and relationships with donors. Daniel has played a significant role in that change process.

The most visible change at JCA has been the very creative and successful 2016 “Humans of JCA” campaign, which has seen record attendance, engagement and fundraising, particularly from the next generations. The change over the past three years, restructure of JCA’s office, recruitment of new committees and the strength of this year’s campaign, all provide terrific foundations for an incoming CEO to build on these strengths and focus on the implementation of JCA’s new strategic plan

Daniel will remain with JCA until the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition to the new CEO, and support JCA’s staff and volunteers with completion of this year’s campaign.

Stephen Chipkin, President of JCA said: “We will be sorry to see Daniel go. He has brought his considerable intellect and energy, his unique and engaging personality and his passion for our community to the role. Dan’s contribution to JCA and to our community over a number of years cannot be underestimated. My Executive Committee and I are enormously grateful for all his unbending positivity, energy, passion and drive that he has shared with us. I thank him on behalf of the whole community”.

“Dan can be proud of what was achieved under his watch at JCA”, Chipkin added. “The organisation is in great shape – a strong team and lay committees, high levels of energy and engagement particularly with the next generation and excellent relationships with our member organisations. JCA will use that strong platform to continue doing our important work of bringing our community more closely together and building a more secure, vibrant and sustainable community”.

Daniel Grynberg said: “It really has been an incredible honour to lead an organisation as marvellous as JCA for three years. Every single day I have been inspired by the generosity of our community, the commitment of our volunteers, and the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to look after us all, especially our most vulnerable.”

He added: “I will be pleased to leave JCA in a stronger position, ready for another leader to continue to build and grow this most important piece of communal infrastructure. I thank Stephen Chipkin and JCA’s Executive Committee and Trustees for all their support and guidance. And I thank JCA’s dedicated and talented staff. I look forward to new and challenging roles, including within our community, but first to ensuring we close out JCA’s 2016 campaign on an absolute high.”

JCA will be undertaking a recruitment search for Daniel’s successor shortly with the intention of appointing a new CEO before the end of this year.
