The 31st Maccabi Junior Carnival to be held in Sydney in January 2013 will have an exciting new format.
Next year’s Carnival, which is running from 15th to 22nd January 2013, will be structured differently to past Carnivals to create more variety and interest for the 12-16 year old participants from all over Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

While there will still be sport events during the day and social events at night, the sporting program will vary from day to day. The schedule includes two Outdoor Sports Days and two Indoor Sports Days as well as a Community Day, Beach Day and Adventure Day.
Carnival Manager, Danny Hochberg said: “We believe that as one of the most anticipated Carnivals, the 2013 Sydney Maccabi Junior Carnival needed to introduce new ideas to challenge and interest our participants, while remaining true to our objectives of creating a fun social and educational environment.
By having a different sporting activity each day, participants will have the opportunity to experience new things throughout the week, rather than getting tired of the same sport after playing it for multiple days in a row.”

The key sporting highlight is expected to be Adventure Day, where participants will be travelling to the Blue Mountains to take part in a Mud Run.

Danny Hochberg added “Carnival has never involved something like Adventure Day before and it is sure to be an unforgettable event for everyone.”

A Facebook page has been set up at http://www.facebook.com/maccabicarnival2013 for regular updates. Everyone who ‘Likes’ the page or ‘shares’ posts will be entered in the draw for a $100 General Pants voucher.
