The Israeli film “The Gatekeepers” has been nominated for the 7th Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
The film, known in Israel as Shomrei Hasaf (The Gatekeepers), was a joint production involving Israel, France, Germany and Belgium). It was produced by Dror Moreh, Estelle Fialon and Phillipa Kowarsky and co-produced by Anna Van der Wee.
It has been nominated in the Best Documentary Feature Film category.
The awards will be held in Brisbane on December 12. “Omar” a Palestinian film, is one of six nominees for the coveted Best Feature Film award.
Ya’acov Peri, one of the Gatekeepers interviewed in the movie, was recently in Australia on behalf of the Jewish National Fund.
