All over the world, women will be baking challah for the world-wide Shabbat Project.  Perth has kicked off the project!

At the Perth Hebrew Congregation, 200 women and girls participated in something very special: the launch of the 2014 Global Shabbat Project, started last year by Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein of South Africa.
The various Jewish communities of Perth got together in the first activity in this year’s project, the Mega Challah Bake.

It was a resounding success!

Family groups including grannies, mothers, daughters and friends gathered under the stars in the PHC grounds to set the tone for what is going to be a remarkable weekend for Jews around the world.
