The Executive Council of Australian Jewry, the peak national body representing the Australian Jewish community, is hiring.

The ECAJ is launching the Jewish Advocacy and Leadership Corps, an elite program open to members of our community aged 25-40 who have participated in relevant leadership programs in our community and have demonstrated outstanding communal advocacy and leadership potential. Members of the Corps  will have access to ongoing educational, training, networking and career advancement opportunities. We are seeking to appoint a Coordinator for the Jewish Advocacy and Leadership Corps.

The key functions of the Jewish Advocacy and Leadership Corps Coordinator will be:

  • Recruiting and inducting members of the community into the Corps
  • Organising events for Corps members
  • Proactively identifying learning and development opportunities for Corps members both in Australia and abroad
  • Managing the network to keep alumni connected to the community and each other
  • Working with stakeholders in the Australian Jewish community to understand their leadership and advocacy needs and to identify opportunities for Corps members

The role will require:

 

  • 3+ years relevant professional experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong event management skills
  • Strong interest in pertinent domestic and international issues affecting Australia’s Jewish community
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software platforms quickly
  • Database management skills
  • Strong sense of initiative, organisational skills, and an ability to multi-task
