Anne Hastings, Principal of Emanuel School, commented, “ We are very proud of our
students, who have worked so hard and deserve these wonderful results. While the
league table represents a narrow part of what a School does, it is good to see that
the programs on which we have been working, such as building a Culture of Thinking,
are also helping our students enhance their HSC success.”

Other highlights include:

  • Over 50% gained ATARs over 90, 26% over 95 and 11% over 98.5
  • Serena May came 8th in the State in History Extension
  • Head Madrich, Sam Wrublewski, was 13th and Steven Jocum 14th in the State in Business Studies
  • Five students were honoured on the HSC All-Rounders List: Joseph Harris, Steven Jocum, Serena May, Zachary Picker and Sam Wrublewski
  • Music student, Adam Harpaz, has been nominated to perform in HSC Encore.

Anne Hastings continued, “The results attained by this group of wonderful young men and women are testimony to the incredible power of teamwork. The Class of 2013 is a cohort bound together in support of one another, always striving towards the best possible outcomes not only for themselves as individuals, but also in pursuit of collective success

We acknowledge, too, the significant role that our teachers have played in guiding the Class of 2013 in their learning journey and towards their HSC. The inspiration that each of our teachers provides is outstanding. We are very lucky to have such a capable and committed set of teachers.”

Adam Majsay, Director of Studies for the High School, said, “We are very proud of the Class of 2013. We applaud the diligence and positive attitude they displayed throughout their HSC studies, their willingness to challenge themselves to be the best thinkers they could be, and the way in which they inspired each other towards success.”
