Emanuel School’s 30th anniversary celebrations continue with a special alumni event planned for next month.
Years 1 and 2 1984
With over 900 alumni living all over Sydney, interstate and internationally, the School is relying on the Jewish community to help promote this historic event. Although Emanuel’s alumni meet and connect regularly in their specific year groups, the School is holding a gathering of all past students to celebrate our 30th anniversary..
Anne Hastings, Principal of Emanuel School, said: “Our alumni hold the key to our past and are inspiring role models for our students. Many have achieved on the world stage and are leaders in their fields, from academics to religious leaders, musicians to artists, heads of organisations to charity workers. By bringing them all together to celebrate our collective past, they will help us look towards the future secure in the knowledge that our School enabled them to succeed and affect change.”
We have alumni who hold teaching posts at the School and whose children now attend Emanuel. Katie Narunsky, who was one of the first pupils when the School was founded in 1983, is excited about the prospect of reconnecting with her fellow past students: “Teaching at Emanuel feels like I have come home. I chose to send my children to the School and love the fact that we are still part of the Emanuel community. Seeing fellow students from my first year at school will be such a memorable experience, so please spread the word!”
