David Campbell gets to know his cause
Popular singer David Campbell has visited Sydney’s The Jewish House ahead of heading the bill at the care organisation’s Annual Gala Dinner.

Campbell, son of the legendary Jimmy Barnes, was taken on a tour of the facility which incorporates refuge accommodation by it s CEO Rabbi Mendel Kastel.
An impressed Campbell discussed final plans for the Gala Dinner to be held on the 28th of this month.
Australia’s King of Cabaret and host of Channel 9’s Mornings, David Campbell will join Rabbi Mendel Kastel, CEO, Jewish House Crisis Centre for the annual gala fundraising dinner at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.
Jessica Rowe will host the event and guest speaker, The Hon Pru Goward MP, NSW Minister for Family and Community Services, and Minister for Women, will address the audience on the evening.
As the headline performer, David Campbell will sing all the big Cabaret hits including Mr Bojangles, Beyond The Sea and Bring Him Home from Les Miserables.
Last year’s event, featured young singing sensation and winner of Australia’s Got Talent 2011, Jack Vidgen, and was attended by over 500 people; a triumph for the Jewish House.
“Come to the Cabaret” promises to be even bigger than last year’s successful event and will help to raise much needed funds for Jewish House’s work in the community.
Jewish House has been servicing the Sydney community for nearly 30 years, providing immediate crisis intervention and prevention to many thousands of people suffering from homelessness, depression, alcoholism, domestic conflict, unemployment, business difficulties and other critical problems.
