Federal Labor member Michael Danby will participate in talks with other Jewish lawmakers from around the world to discuss the repercussions this month’s vote for Palestinian statehood could have on Israel…and the world-wide Jewish community.

The International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians to which Danby belongs, is a partner member of the World Jewish Congress.

The delegation will be hosted by WJC president Ronald Lauder and will meet with European ambassadors to the U.N. before travelling to Washington for an update on the situation in the Middle East from Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren followed by meetings with Congressional leaders.

A unilaterally declared Palestinian state to be voted on later this month looks set to endanger peace in the Middle East, a message which will be widely disseminated by the ICJP.

Before leaving for New York, Michael Danby  was joined by State Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews at Max Brenner in South Melbourne for a hot chocolate in support of the chocolatier and Vic State Shadow Treasurer, Tim Holding MP,  Vic Shadow Attorney General Martin Pakula and Martin Foley, Vic State Member for Albert Park.

The MPs came down during their parliamentary dinner break to especially join Mr Danby in solidarity with the Jewish community and the chocolate shop, the focus of pro-BDS groups’ protests.

Michael Danby could nearly get me to vote Labor, if his party wasn’t so “beholden” to the anti-semitic Left in general and the Jew-hating Greens in particular.

Perhaps he should come over to the englightened side of Politics where the principle of “NEVER AGAIN” is still adhered to, especially by people like Julie Bishop.

Great, laudable, fantastic and ALMOST impecable. That is once one asks the inevitable quaestion: Has our energetic Mr. Danby finished his work in convincing right here, in the Australian labor Party Government upper circles his hasbara !!!??? Has he achieved the results he is attempting ten thousand miles away with his own plitical fold ??!!
