Federal Labor MO Michael Danby has added his voice to the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians statement condemning the massacre of Christians in Nigeria on Christmas Day.

ICJP chairperson Fiamma Nirenstein said: “As chairperson of the International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians (ICJP), I would like to express our great sorrow for the devastating terrorist attacks that took place in Nigeria on the Christmas Day, killing over 40 people and bringing the death toll, after several clashes, to 110 people.
This is the second consecutive year that Christian communities are attacked during Christmas celebrations in Nigeria. Sunday’s blast was executed by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram, whose name denotes “Western education is forbidden”.
The threat to the Christian communities from extremist Islamic groups has risen over the years in Africa and the Middle East. Estimates indicate that over 200 million Christians in at least 60 countries are denied fundamental human rights solely on account of their faith. Sadly, similar violent attacks are quite ordinary in many countries and regions, including in Ethiopia, Egypt, Sudan, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey, Algeria, Afghanistan, Kashmir, and the Palestinian Authority.”
Michael Danby added: “The fight against antisemitism and the promotion of the freedom of worship are two sides of the same battle and we, as Jewish lawmakers, are fully committed toadvancedemocracy and human rights worldwide, without distinction of religion and ethnicity. Each and every parliament must act to urge the United Nations to react toughly and decisively to the unacceptable, persistent violation of basic human rights among its member states.”

Thank you Mr Danby for speaking out in defense of the innocent Christians in Nigeria, did I hear Julia Gillard PM roundly condemn these horrific attacks , or the media acknowledge the purging of Christians by the muslim extremists Boko Haram ?? nope! crickets from both , silence about such important issues, Its Nigeria today, us tomorrow, believe me, once muslims have the majority they will have this same bloody agenda, the killing of non muslims for the sake of islamic sharia law..

Congratulations to ICJP, Fiamma Nirenstein and Michael Danby for speaking out against the mohammedan murders of Christians. It is good to see that Jews stand speak out in opposition of bigotry, jihad, murder and violations of human rights. But why is there almost complete silence on the part of Christians to the butchery of some of their own? Why is there no imam or ayatollah issuing a fatwa against the killing of innocent People of the Book? Why is there no international, especially mohammedan, outcry against muslim on muslim violence say in Afghanistan, Iraq or Sudan? How come that it is the Jews again, with their respect for life, who are compelled to speak out against inhumanity to a world that proclaims our values but repays our leading it out of barbarity with blood libels and denials of peoplehood?

I would think that rather than appeal to the united nations that are never united about anything, except in their blatant disregard belligerent attitude & continual negativity towards Israel and His people, that we appeal to the Almighty Himself who after all, is the God of Abraham Isaac & Jacob and has declared that once He has drawn His beloved Jews back to the Whole land of Israel from the Euphrates to Egypt that nothing will move them out ever again. When I look back over all the battles the Patriarchs fought, they won the majority by enquiring of the almighty as to whether or not they should engage in battle, and was He going with them or not. Every time they enquired and trusted Him, He gave them the victory. Surely God has not changed and it is always safe to trust Him rather than appeal to the (united about nothing nations). Israel, you are the apple of God’s eye, trust Him, trust Him and He shall bring it to pass. Christians are not going to be helped by the united nation and neither should they appeal to them, Christians worship the same God as the Jews and He has made it very clear in the scriptures, that all who live Godly lives in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution, satan hates both camps with perfect hatred because in the end they both triumph over him. I have read The Book to the end.

  4. It’s a pity the puppet UN continues to condemn Israel for supposed human rights violations (?) while turning a blind eye to to the horrific plight of Christians in Islamic countries. Meantime Christians in their own countries through their own over-zealous political correctness, don’t allow a word said against fundamentalist Islam and allow 100s of mosques to be built across their lands, allowing militant Imams to continue to preach against those same Christian majorities in their own lands. Where is the logic?
