The Anti-Terrorism Unit of the NSW Police has invited the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies to deliver seminars to put Jewish and Israeli issues into context for its staff.

The first seminar, which has been put together by the Board of Deputies and the Communal Security Group (CSG), will be held next month. It will comprise sessions on the Jewish community of NSW, its connection to Israel, the history of Zionism, Arab terrorism against Jews and Israel, and the role of the CSG.

Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff said the invitation to deliver the seminars “is testament to the strong working relationship between the NSW Jewish community – through its CSG – and the NSW Police. Informing them on these issues can only be a positive in terms of the way the police deal with situations going forward.”
