Benny Amzalak lead the 2003 group  which established a new congregation following a political stoush with the Yeshiva management in Flood St.

But tomorrow evening, Tzemach Tzedek members will join their Yeshiva counterparts in a Farbrengen…an evening aimed at celebrating the Yahrzeit of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachel Mendel Schneerson.

Amzalak told J-Wire: “Hopefully this will be the first of many events where the Lubavitch community can come together and participate in a combined function.”

Director of Young Adult Chabad Rabbi Eli Feldman added: “This is a fitting honour for the Rebbe. He was a man of peace and his teachings focused on happiness and joy. The wounds of 2003 have healed.”

The function acknowledging the Rebbe’s Yahrzeit will be held Monday evening at the Yeshiva in Flood St, Bondi at 8 p.m.

Rabbi Shmuel Lew, a world-renowned motivator who numbers among his followers Lord Jonathan Sacks, the Chief Rabbi of the U.K., will address the function. Among those who will hear the London-based  speaker will be representatives of  17 Chabad-affiliated organisations including Bondi Shul, Chabad Bondi Beach (F.R.E.E.), Chabad Double Bay, Chabad for backpackers, Chabad for Israelis, CBD Chabad, Chabad Youth NSW, Dover Heights Shule, Friendship Circle, Jewish Family Centre, Kensington Shul, Nefesh, North Shore Chabad, The Shtiebell & Young Adult Chabad.
