The popular Chabad rabbi told J-Wire  how he enjoyed working with so many different CEO’s and although there was no kosher food served he did volunteer to prepare the onions. As the knives he worked with were brand new, the onion salad and all its ingredients was in the end a kosher dish.

During the night besides preparing the dishes,  the CEOs personally served the clients and were entertained by Jimmy Barnes

Rabbi Kastel said: I am grateful to those that sponsored me and we raised over $3000 to the charity from our effort”.

At the event, some of Jewish House previous residents greeted Rabbi Kastel including one who had just become engaged. He told his fiancé how Jewish House had helped him during a difficult time in his life.

Rabbi Kastel also  thanked Steve Giolmore for his support for Jewish House

Oz harvest delivers food to Jewish House every week.

Community functions are often the source of the food it gets delivered. Rabbi Kastel added:  “The residents are very grateful to receive fresh fruit and vegetables as well as bread and bakery goods and we regularly get food from Katz’s and Glicks as well as the local fruitologist”

“Oz Harvest is a great cause and Jewish House is happy to be associated with them and thanks them for their support” Rabbi Kastel said.
