Baby Boaz is 4½ months old and unless a stem cell match is found for him soon his tiny life may well end before his first birthday.

Doctors were not happy with his development and state of health. Boaz, who live is Melbourne, was not putting on weight and experiencing continuing fevers.
He was admitted to Melburne’s Children’s Hospital for tests a month ago and last week doctors conclusively agreed that the baby boy had Immuno Deficiency Syndrome and was doomed unless a stem cell match can be found.
The Gift of Life’s Shula Endrey-Walder told J-Wire: “We have tested all his relatives and the results have proved negative. This is a Jewish baby and the way DNA works a match, and there is only a 1 in a 100,000th chance of finding one, is most likely to come from a Jewish donor.”
