An official from Breaking the Silence (BtS), a left-wing NGO that publicises the testimonies of former Israel Defence Forces (IDF) soldiers in order to spread criticism of the Israeli military, was reportedly caught saying that he does not consider shooting IDF soldiers to be terrorism…BtS responds.

Yehuda Shaul

Yehuda Shaul from BtS told J-Wire: “We generally do not consider Channel 20 as a serious news company that deserve a response, but rather an arm of an extreme right wing pro-settlement campaign. Having said that, we sent them the following response:

‘If Channel 20 chooses to pick on Nadav Weiman, who is not a public official, but rather a former fighter in an elite Nahal unit and someone who is proud to break the silence, who said these things within the context of a private and informal conversation that was deliberately filmed by another person planted by the radical Right, then I guess they don’t read books at Channel 20. The position of the international expert on terrorism, who is none other than Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote the following in his book [‘Terrorism: How the West Can Win’]: ‘The terrorists tend to describe themselves as ‘guerrilla fighters,’ but guerrilla fighters are not terrorists. They are irregular soldiers who are fighting regular military forces and not civilians.’

It is also important to know that in regards to the definition of terrorism, differentiating between attacks against civilians and attacks against soldiers is an internationally accepted concept. Israelis also frequently make this distinction as you can see in this article from walla! (in Hebrew) about Tzipi Livni and in writings of Netanyahu himself (as seen above).”

Has anyone noticed that it is impossible to get a book in Australia written by Benjamin Nethanjahu, nor can you borrow it anywhere from any Australian Library or the State Library in Canberra. Here’s a few more you can’t get…The Generals Son-Miko Peled, The Coming Peace in the Middle East – Tim LaHaye, Wear the Yellow Badge with Pride- Robert Wettsch, ANZACS & ISRAEL- Kelvin Crombe, Once an Arafat Man – Tass Saad.
The Second Awakening and the Battle for Pluralism – Marwan Mausher, Kill Khalid: The Faieled Massa Assasination and Rise of Hamas – Paul McGeough, From Beirut to Jerusalem -Thomas L. Friedman, Hussein & Abdullah: Inside the Jordanian Royal Family -Randa Habib. Lion of Jordan: The Life of King Hussein in War & Peace -Ari-Shlaim, Kings Council: A Memior of War, Espionage & Diplomacy in the Middle Easst – Jack O’Connell, War of aMillion Cuts – Manfield Gerstenfeld, Catch the Jew – Tuvia Tenenbaum. Now you’ll all know why the Australians are Middle East Dumbells. All you get are the lies the media tells you. Anyone got any of these who’d like to share???

semantics and word games…trying to excuse a despicable point of view….
The attacks on the soldiers are acts of terror and that is the way Nethanyahu describes them
