How people use technology and their expectations of websites has changed dramatically over the past few years. Jewish Care Victoria is keeping up with these changes by launching a newly revamped website that is sure to please visitors to the site.

A main driver for the refresh was to improve accessibility for the elderly, people with impaired vision and people living with disability. New features such as variable font size, the ability to change screen contrast and large buttons and images allow for a more pleasant browsing experience for all.

Other new features include:

  • Easier site navigation
  • Simple, uncluttered menu systems
  • Larger, easy-to-use enquiry and donation forms
  • New Events page for easy viewing of all Jewish Care events and online ticket purchasing
  • Improved Contact and Enquiry pages and online forms
  • Integrated feed for weekly Shabbat times for Melbourne
  • Improved social media integration

Another reason for the bold new site was to improve the browsing experience for users of mobile technology. Knowing that users increasingly favour internet browsing on-the-move rather than at the desktop, the new Jewish Care site is fully responsive to the dimensions of all sizes of smartphones and tablet devices.

Ayal Tusia, Marketing and Communications Manager said, “This is the third time in eight years we have updated our website. It is important that in this age of online communications we stay current with the design, functionality and performance of our website as it is a critical tool that connects our community to the organisation.”
