Launchpad, a platform for Jewish community innovation in Australia, is launching a new program bringing together young Australian Jews for three days of intensive networking, creative thinking and Jewish entrepreneurship.

Last year’s retreat

The gathering will take place on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula 17-19 May 2015,

Following the success of the inaugural LaunchPad Retreat last year, which brought together 42 young Jewish Australian innovators, the 2015 LaunchPad Retreat will offer two concurrent tracks: ‘LaunchPad Y’ for 22 – 35 year olds and ‘LaunchPad X’ for 36+ year olds. Each of the tracks will have separate programming tailored to each group’s unique innovation, dynamism, experience and ambition, but will weave together at strategic points for both groups to connect, think, create and lead together.

LaunchPad will bring together diverse entrepreneurs, professionals, thinkers, activists, change-makers and dreamers from across Australia. Through workshops, incubators, skill sessions and inspiring guest speakers, participants will have a forum to cultivate relationships and sow the seeds for the creation of meaningful Jewish experiences for themselves, their peers and the entire Australian Jewish community.

“We are looking to empower Jewish innovators – those who have the passion and inspiration to re-imagine and explore the possibilities of Jewish life in Australia,” said Tracie Olcha, CEO, Australian Jewish Funders, “What makes this event different from any other gathering is the focus on strengthening community ties and enabling participants to step up as leaders in our community, creating meaningful and sustainable change.”

LaunchPad 2015 is a partnership between Australian Jewish Funders (AJF), an organisation that supports strategic philanthropy in the Australian Jewish community; the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation (Schusterman); and ROI Community, Schusterman’s international network of activists and change-makers who are redefining Jewish engagement for a new generation of global citizens. JCA joins the collaboration for the LaunchPad Y Retreat 2015. Together, these organisations are making it a top priority to invest in the future of Jewish life in Australia and build inspired and enduring Jewish communities.
