Australia’s ambassador Dave Sharma has visited two of the injured IDF members, victims of the recent terrorist attack in Jerusalem which claimed the lives of four soldiers.

Dave Sharma visits the site of the attack

Dave Sharma said: “I flew back into Israel on Sunday from visiting some friends and first item of news on landing was the awful terrorist attack against IDF cadets in Jerusalem, using a truck.

I went to the scene of the attack yesterday, and visited two of the injured soldiers (Dana, a 21-yr-old female) and Edan (19-yr-old male) in Hadassah Ein Kerem. Thankfully it looks like both will be okay, but both are injured and understandably shaken up.”

Dave Sharma visits survivors

On his Facebook Sharma wrote: “Australia condemns unreservedly yesterday’s vicious terrorist attack, using a truck as a missile, on IDF cadets at Armon HaNatziv lookout in Jerusalem. We mourn the loss of four young innocent lives (three women and one man, all in their early 20s), extend our heartfelt sympathies to their families and loved ones, and dearly hope for the recovery of those fighting their injuries in hospital.

Today I visited the site of the terrorist attack and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, where some of the injured are being treated, to convey Australia’s sympathy and support.”

Enjoyed this article, todah for posting it. Followed the tragedy closely in the press. The video out of Israel we had to puzzle out but it became clear after a few viewings, that the criminal took good aim, charged down the side of the bus btw the lamp post and the bus – which involved mounting a kerb, then performed his evil work. You could see he was a good driver, if not expert because of the way he swiftly turned and reversed, to continue his evil work. Cowardice does not even begin to describe it. We wondered whether he lurked about prior, knowing that bus would come in” and tumble numerous soldiers out or whether it was “just opportunistic – he was there and “suddenly the op was on.” And you sometimes here in Australia, hear misguided and ignorant pro-“Palestinian” causers, whining and moaning about Israel being “over-militarised”. Well, excuse me!!

It’s amazing how the world “condemns” these attack orally but physically do nothing. Again sticks and stones will break their bonse but condemning them never hurts them.
