Albert Halm OAM, the founding President of the Australian Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors has passed away in Sydney.

Anna Berger, the current president of the AAHS told J-Wire: “The community has lost a fine example of the resilience of the spirit. Albert provided other Survivors with a way of healing, of memorialising and of educating future generations about the dangers of bigotry.”
He will be buried on Sunday.
Funeral service – Sydney Chevra Kadisha, 11am, Sunday 6 January, 2013 followed by the Jewish Cemetery Rookwood
Minyan – 6.45pm, Sunday 6 January, 2013, Montefiore Home Randwick.
Albert Halm OAM seems to be a person after my own heart with his focus on healing,memmorialising and challenging bigotry. I was a teacher and psychotherapist and now I am a freelance speaker challenging prejudice and racism and a human rights activist for Rene Cassin
Albert’s death is a loss to humanity. Do you have contact with the Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) of UK? As a Kindertransportee from Berlin to England in 1939, I belong to the AJR and will recommend reporting about Albert in the AJR Journal.
