Dinners for both evenings sold out in less than 24 hours but bookings are still available for lunch on Tuesday March 15 from 11:30am- 2:30pm.

The a la carte menu offers diners an opportunity to eat kosher food not usually available for in local Sydney kosher restaurants including delicious hand-made gnocci, lamb pizza, and roasted scotch fillet. There is a minimal $5 booking fee to cover the expenses of making the restaurant kosher.

Kepos & Co. on Danks Street, Waterloo, provides Sydney’s inner suburbs with the finest of Israeli cuisine. Head chef, Michael Rantissi, grew up in Tel Aviv endlessly delighting in the great variety of foods central to the Israeli diet, before relocating to Sydney in 2005 and bringing his love for Middle Eastern cuisine with him.

With the aim of bringing Rantissi’s cuisine to the wider Jewish community, Network and Encounters @ Shalom have partnered with Kepos & Co to make the one-hat restaurant temporarily kosher. Last November Encounters @ Shalom hosted a sold our dinner at Kepos & Co which met with rave reviews.  “The feedback from the event was phenomenal,” said Encounters @ Shalom Director Michael Misrachi, adding, “There is clearly an interest by kosher consumers to expand their dining horizons in Sydney.”

The event on Monday evening at Kepos and Co. is a Persian themed Purim feast which includes Persian delicacies including pomegranates, eggplant, lamb, rice and much more.

Lunch bookings are available at: www.encounters.edu.au or call 9381 4160!

Future kosher pop-ups are planned with Encounters @ Shalom, Network, the Kashrut Authority and Kepos & Co. to meet the demand in sophisticated kosher dining.

The event is under the supervision of the Kashrut Authority.
