Henry Greener is a happy man today as he learns that his beloved weekly interview TV program The Shtick will run until at least to the middle of 2018.

The program is screened on Melbourne’s TV community channel 31 which has already been reprieved once from closure.

Greener told J-Wire: “There is a very good chance for further extensions, as the NBN fiasco makes it more difficult for the Turnbull Government to justify casting CTV in to the Internet Jungle. The CTV Bandwidth, which Malcolm Turnbull, as Communications Minister, was hoping to sell for a couple of million dollars in the shocking Hockey 2014 “Emergency Budget”,  is a pittance in relation to the cost to the community of losing such an important media platform.”

He is dispelling rumours published earlier this year that he is off the air following a report titled “The Shtick Fades to Black”.

Lets hope Mr Danby does not attack Ch 31 too.

Ch 31 has a wide variety of shows, including the CEC Report.

I just rang the Communications Ministers office and said viewers dont want Ch 31 to disappear as a free to air channel.
