ZFA at work in Canberra
The Zionist Federation of Australia has visited Canberra meeting with the offices of 26 Senators and Members, including Cabinet Ministers, Shadow Cabinet Ministers and Senate cross-benchers.

One of the visit’s highlights occurred when they visited Senator Bob Day and were shown the motion he had introduced the previous day calling for an Australian- Israeli free trade agreement.
The motion praised recent Australian trade missions to Israel and noted the numerous other nations that had concluded free trade agreements with Israel. It concluded by calling “on the Australian Government to initiate negotiations with Israel towards a free trade agreement.”
Senator Day was elected to the Senate in September 2013 on the Family First ticket and began his six-year term on 1 July 2014.

“I am a strong supporter of Israel. Its unique circumstances force it to be innovative. Our nations have many things in common, as I outlined in my question [during Question Time] today. Israel is the next big thing in the entrepreneurial start-up space. We should embrace the great innovating nation of Israel.”
“I applaud Senator Day for introducing this Senate motion – which passed by voice vote on 25 November 2015 – as well as for his solid record of friendship towards Israel”, said ZFA President Dr Danny Lamm.
