Top Israeli analyst in Australia for UIA

The United Israel Appeal (UIA) is hosting Dr Yoaz Hendel a popular policy analyst with a weekly radio show and newspaper column in Israel.

He is, and has received Israel’s most prestigious prizes for his work inside and outside government.

Hendel is regarded as one of the most articulate and well-connected analysts in Israel today and has covered an unprecedented number of events in recent years. He will give an overview of the current conflict and expert analysis on the current political and security issues in Israel and the region. He is Chairman of the Institute for Zionist Strategies and who served from 2011 to 2012 as Director of Communications for Prime Minister Netanyahu.

He received his PhD from Tel Aviv University and in 2011 published a behind the scenes account Israel’s covert war with Iran titled “Israel vs.Iran, The Shadow War.”

Dr Hendel holds the rank of Major in the reserves of the IDF, where he spent 6 years in active duty as an officer in Shayetet – the Israeli Navy Seals. His time served included the 2006 Lebanon War and the Gaza War of 2008-2009.

In 2012, he published a children’s book titled “Aba Yotze L’Miluim” (Daddy Leaves for Reserve Duty), to help parents, like himself, explain their military service to their children.

Yoaz will be speaking in Melbourne and Sydney at the UIA AGM’s, on Sydney’s North Shore and in Perth. He will also be giving short Israel updates at the UIA NSW Young Families event this coming Sunday morning. See details below.
