Rafi Levy

Rafi Levy is an Israeli soccer player born in 1938 and who retired from the game in 1972.

The diminutive centre-forward was brought out to Australia by Sydney’s Hakoah Club in the early 1960s together with Gerry Chaldi who went on to become the clubs coach.

Levy had a highly successful career at Maccabi Tel Aviv before moving to Sydney. He played 17 times for Israel and was a member of the Maccabi T-A squad which twice won the national championships with Levy personally twice winning Israel’s top scorer of the year award.

Following Levy’s retirement, he wrote an autobiographical best-selling children’s book “Kick Alon Kick” under the pen name Shraga Gafni.

    Hi!
I came across this article and was curious when and where (which county’s ebay site) this card was selling on? Rafi Levy is my uncle and I’m curious.

    Thanks!
