Minister Simhon will meet with top-level personnel from Australia’s leading banks, television networks, communication providers, mining companies, and agricultural associations, as well as conducting high-level discussions with Austrade.

In addition, the Minister will meet with his Australian counterparts including the ministers for trade, broadband, innovation and industry, and agriculture, fishing and forestry to explore areas of mutual cooperation.

The delegation is aimed at enhancing trade and investment opportunities between Israel and Australia, which last year increased by 22% to almost $900 million.  Despite the worldwide economic decline, Israel continues to see sustained growth in GDP, low inflation and unemployment and A+ credit ratings.

The trade delegation includes representatives from Israel’s leading communications companies interested in bringing their groundbreaking products to the Australian market. Companies include: LiveU, Siano Mobile Silicon, Orad, Kenshoo, NovelSat, Rad Data Communications, Radcom, Click Software and packetlight.

The delegation will also visit Canberra and Sydney.
