The 415 Australian team members at the 19th Maccabiah will once again honor the memories of the four team members who lost their lives as a result of the bridge collapse in 1997…and any Australians in Israel on the date are invited to attend.

 July 14 will mark the 16th Anniversary of the Maccabiah Bridge Tragedy.

A service will be conducted in Israel at the Bridge Site in Ramat Gan on July 15th, 2013 at 4:45pm. In attendance will be the entire Australian Delegation to the 19th Maccabiah Games, Australian Ambassador to Israel, Mr Dave Sharma, the Mayor of Ramat Gan, Zvi Barr along with Giuora Esrubelsky (President), Yair Hamburger (Chairman), Amir Peled (Chair of the 19th Maccabiah Games), Eyal Tiberger (Executive Director) and other representatives from Maccabi World Union and its member countries.

Those already in Israel are invited to attend the ceremony. Please accept this as a personal invitation.
